The "Z" bed

Last night we had zucchini for dinner. While this may not seem like a big deal to you, it was a very big deal for me. The reason…I grew the zucchini myself! Ok, not completely by myself, Spencer and I planted the seeds together a few weeks back. We were kind of late in the season for planting, but we proceeded anyway and last night we were able to consume the fruits (or vegetables) of our labor.

In case you are wondering about the title of this post, a couple of weeks before we planted the zucchini seeds, I had planted zinnia seeds. The zinnias were stating to sprout, so we just inter planted the “Z” plants together and deemed it the “Z-bed”

No "Z" bed here, but I do have a Lay-"Z" bed--I sleep in it every night and have a hard time leaving it in the morning.

Actually, my gal started a garden this year, but my only contribution is occasional watering and eating.

Crabby- this is our first attempt at gardening and the birds and bunnies ate all of the green beans. I was SO mad!

Miz- I would definitely lose weight on that diet. So far all we have had is that one lonely zucchini!
